About Alumni
The plural is alumni for men and mixed groups and alumnae for women.
- An alumnus or an alumna of a college, university, or other school is a former student who has either attended or graduated in some fashion from the institution.
- The word is Latin and simply means student.
OBJECTIVES
To bring the old students of V.H.N. Senthikumara Nadar College (Autonomous), Virudhunagar under one forum for exchange of experience, dissemination of knowledge and talents amongst its members and also for the furtherance of fellowship and advancement of scientific knowledge of the members of the Association.
To provide guidance to the present students in their endeavour for better employment and higher studies.
To promote the campus placements through the old students working in reputed industries in India and abroad
To get the valuable advices of the Alumni in the overall development of the college
To conduct seminars, conferences, workshops, endowment lectures and other academic activities and also to keep in touch with one another of the faculty members, non teaching staff and students.
To share the knowledge on higher studies, research and job opportunities in the subject field
To involve the members in the overall development of the college and the Society
To create and establish Alumni endowments for granting scholarships, prizes and medals to the students showing high proficiency in their studies and honor former students of the department.
To advise and interact with State and Central Government Bodies, Universities and Associations of other academic institutions on matters relating to promotion of higher education, training and management systems and thereby promote the welfare and status of the department.
To construct a building in the college campus for the purpose of use of college students.
To render financial aid to the deserving poor students studying at the V.H.N. Senthikumara Nadar College (Autonomous), Virudhunagar
To render financial aid to deserving alumni in cases of extreme compassionate circumstances.
To bring out website, magazines, souvenirs and newsletters highlighting the activities of the College and its Alumni.
To organize cultural and educational programmes and also to conduct Alumni Day celebrations every year.
To carry out such other activities as may be necessary for furthering the above aims and objectives.
To collect funds by subscriptions, contributions, donations and gifts from members, non-members, Governments, Universities and other institutions and philanthropists for furtherance of the above objectives
