Habit: Tree, up to 15 m tall; young branchlets greytomentose brown. Leaves: Leaves bipinnate compound, paripinnate, pinnae opposite, 8- 9-pairs; leaflets opposite, oblong, obliquely rounded at base, entire at margin, retuse at apex, glabrescent; nerves less; petiole sessile. Panicles terminal branching alternate. Flower: Flowers ca. golden yellow. Calyx deflexed, lobe 5, ovate. Petals 5, obovate-oblong, undulate at margin, tomentose base. Stamens 10; filament unequal, slender, densely hairy, brown; anther oblong. Fruit: Ovary stalked, oblong, flat, densely hairy, brown; 1-loculed; ovules many; style subflattened; stigma capitate, greenish. Pods oblong-ellipsoid, flattened. Seeds: Seeds 5 - 6, flat. | |
