Habit: Tree, up to 8 m tall; bark rough with deep
longitudinal cuts; stem densely pubescent.
Leaves:Leaves opposite, decussate, elliptic-oblong to
lanceolate, cuneate at base, undulate, entire at margin,
acuminate at apex, pubescent-scabrous; 8 - 12-pairs.
Stipule 2-lobe, obovate. Head terminal, axillary, leafopposite;
peduncle.

Flower:

Flowers white, spherical head. Calyx cupshaped-urecolate,
truncate at apex. Corolla funnealform, tube cylindric,
lobe 5, lanceolate, thick, acute at apex,3

4-striate

with inside. Stamens 5; filament short; anther
linear. Ovary ovoid, 2-loculed; ovules 2 per cell; style
slender-filiform, stigma 2-lobed, slender.
Fruit: Syncarip umglobose, angled, blackish;
Seeds: Sseeds many. obovoid-oblong, rugose-reticulate,
smooth inside at mouth.
May - Sept. and the fruiting throughout the year.
