Botanical Distribution	Habit:Large shrub or small tree with an irregular or rounded Leaves: Plumeria obtusa are deciduous trees, Leaves simple, alternate spiral, clustered; lamina oblong, oblanceolate,margin entire. Flower: large, waxy petals , funnel shape , inflorescence stalk, Calyx 5 unfused, greenish sepals, Corolla 5 obovate or oblanceolate petals. Fruit: Fruit are cylindrical recurved pods Seeds: seeds with a single, short wing on one side.
Flowering and Fruiting	July - September
Key Compounds	Linalool, n-nonanal , phenyl acetaldehyde, neryl acetone & n-decanal, were the main constituents of the leaf oil. On the other hand, the flower oil comprised mainly of limonene , linalool.
Medicinal Use	Diabetes mellitus, wounds and skin disease, diuretic, purgative, abortion and also used in cosmetics, aromatherapy, necklaces and as offerings
