The native range of this species is Florida Keys,Caribbean, SE. Mexico to Guatemala.
Habit:Large shrub or small tree with an irregular

Leaves: Plumeria obtusa are deciduous trees, Leaves
simple, alternate spiral, clustered; lamina oblong,
oblanceolate,margin entire.
Flower: large, waxy petals , funnel shape ,
inflorescence stalk, Calyx 5 unfused, greenish
sepals, Corolla 5 obovate or oblanceolate petals.
Fruit: Fruit are cylindrical recurved pods
Seeds: seeds with a single, short wing on one side.

Linalool, n-nonanal , phenyl acetaldehyde, neryl acetone & n-decanal, were the main constituents of the leaf oil. On the other hand, the flower oil comprised mainly of limonene , linalool.
